About the studio

Directed by people. Rendered with new tools.

Synthetic-Lyfe is led by Jean-Marc Verite, a producer and creative director whose background is in real-time VFX and AI filmmaking. The studio grew out of a simple conviction: AI is a production medium, and like any medium it rewards direction, taste and craft.

Every project begins the traditional way: with a brief, references, character bibles, shot plans and performance beats. Generative tools come in only after that groundwork is done. We iterate, curate and composite until each shot holds up, and we're open about how the work is made.

  • 01

    Direction first

Characters, story and look are designed before a single generation runs.

  • 02

    Consistency

Characters stay recognisable from shot to shot and post to post.

  • 03

    Transparency

We're clear with clients and audiences about how the work is made.

Process

How we work

  1. 01

    Discovery

A short call to understand the goal, audience, platform and constraints. You get a clear scope and quote.

  2. 02

    Creative direction

Moodboards, character designs, scripts or shot lists, agreed together before production starts.

  3. 03

    Production

Generation, curation, compositing, edit and sound, with review points so there are no surprises.

  4. 04

    Delivery

Final masters in every format you need, cut for each platform, with source stills where useful.
